Inlaid into the frosted glass are swirls of color forming dozens of blooming jasmine, honeysuckle, and morning glory flowers. They rest on slender vines of silver and gold that are woven in a continuous braid along the center of the tailband. Along the inside of the tailband, the maker's mark has been engraved using an elegant script.

A flowery glass tailband reads:
"D&K of Shard"
