The band of this piece has been affixed with a small gold heraldic shield. Mounted upon the shield are tiny pieces of hematite and ruby chips depicting a clenched fist holding aloft a bloodied sword.

The gold ring is made with metal.
It appears that the gold ring can be worn around the finger.
