[Ice Festival Grounds, Wilderness Walk]
This side of the river opens up into a virtually treeless meadow, which is dotted with the regal silhouettes of deer grazing in the distance. Some dried stalks of grass dot the cushion of deep snow smothering the ground. A few people walk through the meadow carrying various prizes they have won as they take in the scenery. Another group of festival goers make their way from the southeast, most of them holding a mug of hot drink in their hands to ward off the cold.
Obvious paths: north, southeast.
