[Fairgrounds, Midway]
A low wooden fence bounds the fairgrounds, broken by a painted wooden arch that leads out of the grassy valley. Visitors of all sizes, shapes, and manners of dress stroll in and out of the area and along the muddy grounds of the midway, mingling with the colorful gypsies who hawk their wares and services. You also see a rough-hewn stall and a pale gold tent.
