Vyrshkana's Alterations

I don't have a story for Vyrshkana yet. She was actually created because Glansis didn't have any customers, so I got something rangerly done, and now I like playing her better than Gaeladrya. She's a homesick Forest Gnome whose common isn't so good.

a bleached fine-grained lute
Crafted of pale, almost silvery white oak, the lute bears no carvings, engravings, or other markings, leaving the grain as unblemished as a frozen stream dusted with snow. Delicately inlaid in contrasting woods, a pair of ebon-banded eagle feathers curl around the soundhole.

a silvery sun-bleached longbow
Strung onto a silver-beaded leather thong, a handful of ebon-barred wintery eagle primaries hang from the tip. Finely tanned white doeskin provides a firm grip on the riser, the leather dyed to mimic the feathers. a massive banded snowy hawk-eagle
Standing:
Nearly four feet long from beak to tail, this would be a burden for anyone but the largest Giantman. His polished beak is sharply hooked, with a notch just above the tip, and bracketed by enormous golden eyes. A handful of long, slender feathers sprout from the back of the head, forming a delicate crest. Wing- and tail-feathers barred in charcoal grey to deep ebony, he is otherwise a stark, wispy white in color.
Flying:
Broad, powerful wings keep this rapter aloft with seemingly little effort, their span stretching eight feet easily from wingtip to wingtip. The hawk-eagle's throat and belly are pure white, his soft body feathers softening the pull and flex of muscle beneath. Charcoal grey to deep ebony barring on the long wing- and tail- feathers provide the only easily visible coloration, though the gold of his eyes flashes as he gazes downward.
Sleeping:
Resembling nothing so much as an enormous feather pillow done inside out, every feather on the hawk-eagle's body stands on end. The raptor's head and beak are presumably buried in the puffed up fluff, and its wings and tail are only discernable by the charcoal and ebony bands on much longer feathers. Powerful talons, the same stark white as most of the feathers, are the only feature visible on this faintly snoring bird.

a silver-shot white samite bliaut
Heavy white silk is threaded throughout with silver, but otherwise plain, leaving the cloth unblemished to echo a frozen stream dusted with snow. Braided silver cords strung with tiny glass beads lace the front and sleeves. Layers of wispy, translucent white spidersilk form the bliaut's sash, the seams done in a metallic dark grey thread that give a vague marbling effect.

some tattooed twisted cords of coiled charcoal silk
Wisps of translucent dark grey silk appear to wrap around her spine, inked as if the cloth sinks into the skin. Caught up within the folds are a trio of leather cords, half hidden by the gauzy material, half spilling over the edges. One cord is strung with small bronze-colored oak leaves, the second with ebon-barred white eagle feathers, and the third with polished wooden beads.

Thin chips of copper, red gold, and emeralds are set at the center of the band, forming a leafy seasonal canopy over a bronze-trunked oak tree. A pair of eagle feathers, delicately etched and accented with bezel-set onyx tips, flank the tree and curl around the sides. The edges of the ring are gently rippled, like the surface of a swiftly flowing stream.

In the Common language, it reads:
"As long as a tree stands, as far as the eagle flies."

a tiny jungle view postcard
A tangled mass of foliage fills the entire postcard: vines, plants, trees, moss-covered trunks, even the leaf-littered jungle floor. The only relief from the shade of green is the white-clad forest gnome hanging upside down in the center, arms crossed over her chest. Her ivy-patterned hair hangs almost to the ground, an odd echo of the vines around her ankles that hold her aloft. A viper regards her, but a foot peeking from the scrub shows he has better things to do.
